Arts and Music Introduction

Whether it's a violin lesson echoing into the halls from the Chapel or a display of student's art in our new Art Gallery, throughout Doane Academy it is evident of the passion the faculty and student has for the Arts. Doane Academy is committed to a holistic approach in educating our students, by emphasizing the importance of a well rounded academic program that includes visual art and music education.

In the Upper School every student must complete at least one year of an arts related course; this may include studio art, computer arts, photography or one of the many music related courses.  At the lower school level, students attend both musical and visual art classes twice a week, with a specialist in each area.
