- Tuition for 2011-2012 ranges from $10,500 to $16,100, dependent on grade level.

- 1837. St. Mary's Hall was founded by the Second Episcopal Bishop of New Jersey, George Washington
Doane as an all-girls boarding school.
- In the 1950s, St. Mary's Hall becomes a country day school, with boys able to attend at the lower school level.
- 1966. Doane Academy, a partner all-boys school opens. St. Mary's Hall and Doane Academy merge in the 1970s.
- 2000. Current Headmaster John McGee joins the school.
- 2002. School re-joins the Penn-Jersey athletic league.
- 2008. St.Mary's Hall-Doane Academy becomes Doane Academy.
- 2010-2011. Girls soccer wins Penn-Jersey title. All 25 Seniors go on to college or university, among them The American University, The Air Force Academy and LIM College, having been offered $4.2 million in merit scholarships from over 170 schools.
