How to Apply

Doane Academy uses the Standard Application Online (SAO). To begin your application, click here. The priority deadline for fall 2024 entry is February 1st. Families that apply by our deadline will receive an admission decision by March 10th.

We can receive applications on a rolling basis after the priority deadline, space permitting.

PreK - 5th Grade

Step 1: Complete the inquiry form

Step 2: Schedule your classroom visit and assessment

Students applying to PreK - 5th grade complete a classroom visit and assessment as part of the application process. Students will visit with their current grade and complete an assessment with a member of the admission team. Parents and caregivers will also receive a campus tour.

Students applying to PreK - 2nd grade will visit from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm.

Students applying to 3rd - 5th grade will visit from 8:30 am - 3:20 pm.

Step 3: Complete the online application

We accept the Standard Application Online (SAO). Once you create an SAO account, please designate Doane Academy as a recipient of the application. The online application consists of:

$50 application fee
Parent questionnaire
Transcripts (current and last year; required for applicants applying for 1st - 5th grade)
Teacher recommendation (required for children who have attended school or daycare)

6th - 12th Grade

Step 1: Complete the inquiry form

Step 2: Schedule your interview

Step 3: Complete the online application

Student essays
Graded essay (required for applicants applying for 9th - 12th grade)
Current English teacher recommendation
Current math teacher recommendation
Principal/guidance counselor recommendation
