We hope that this message finds you as well as can be expected, under the difficult circumstances that we are encountering. Please know that all of us at Doane are keeping you and your loved ones close to our hearts. Many of you have asked how you can support the Doane Academy community during this extraordinarily challenging time. With this in mind, we are launching #DoaneCares, a weeklong campaign of opportunities for you to connect with, and provide assistance to, members of our school community. We hope that this call to action encourages our Doane family to demonstrate their compassion and collective strength during these uncertain times.
How can you help? During the week of April 20th we ask that you consider one or more of the following:
call a Doane classmate;
engage with the Doane Community on social media;
send a note of encouragement to a student;
thank a faculty or staff member for the incredible work they are doing for school;
and if you are able, make a gift to support our COVID-19 Tuition Assistance Fund.
Doane has seen a significantly increased need for financial assistance from our families that have been severely impacted by the downturn in the economy. These families wish deeply to have their children remain at Doane but are facing significant challenges to re-enroll for the 2020-2021 academic year. A gift to our COVID-19 Tuition Assistance Fund will allow us to offer support to the growing number of families impacted by this crisis.
The support and care of our community members over the last 183 years has allowed St. Mary’s Hall and Doane Academy to continue the tradition of offering an exceptional academic program while maintaining the feeling that Doane Academy is our home. During this #DoaneCares week we hope that you will reflect on the ways that we can continue to support the Doane Academy family now and for years to come.
