Homecoming Day was one to be remembered at Doane. We had a large turnout for our alumni game, the Circle (decorated with "hero" scarecrows, designed by each of our School Families) was packed by family and friends for our famous tailgate cook-off competition, our Girls & Boys Soccer teams each put up great efforts, with the boys winning their game against St. Joe's (Hammonton) 3-0, and the events closed with our Ninth Annual Punkin' Chunkin' competition. At the end of the contest Mr. Russell challenged all of the alumni present to build launchers and take part in the tenth anniversary competition, next year. We suspect that when the launchers line up next year, it will look like a major medieval battle is about to begin.
